Kikoy wraps and Hammam towels
I have always had a passion for woven fabric and specialised in woven textile design at art school so we are very excited to have sourced some exquisite Kenyan woven kikoy wraps which compliment our beautiful Hammam towels. The kikoys come in both adult (104 x 174cm) and childrens’s sizes (60 x 117cm) and are either stripey or plain with striped borders and hand knotted ends. They are woven from mercerised cotton which is super soft and retains it’s colour and can be worn as scarves or serongs so are just perfect for the beach and pool side. They come in beautiful colour combinations, we just can’t decide which we like best! The kikoys are woven in Kenya by family business and member of the Kenya Federation for Alternative Trade (KEFAT) and COFTA (Cooperation for Fair Trade in Africa) which also supports the Ruiru Rehabilitation Centre for street children.
Our Hammam towels from Turkey are soft, compact, super absorbent and ideal for travelling, holidaying, the beach or just looking good in your bathroom. They become softer with time and with washing.
