Heritage Open Days – Queen Street Mill

It’s a Heritage Open Day tomorrow and Sunday and Queen Street Mill, Burnley, the last surviving 19th century steam powered weaving mill will be opening to the public from 12 – 5pm for the last time. As part of Mirador’s project Behind the Wall we will be delivering a free workshop tomorrow 12 – 4pm to celebrate Lancashire’s textile heritage and constructing 3D models of iconic industrial architecture, transport and birds using Liberty prints produced by Lancaster’s Standfast & Barracks. Visitors will be able to take their models home or contribute them to a large scale installation which will be showcased at Lancaster Museum in 2017 #heritageopendays #HODs
