Festival of Thrift 2014

Great weekend at the wonderful Festival of Thrift, Darlington over the weekend. The festival was a celebration of all things recycled, up-cycled, vintage, healthy, green. It was about raising awareness of big issues through theatre, music, comedy, art, craft, charity work and swap shops. It was so lovely to meet so many lovely people and to see such great work.

We exhibited a collection of work created using old boxes, tins, shoe trees, old paper, maps and discarded objects many of which were picked up from french flea markets, over the summer.

We enjoy creating small scenes involving hot air balloon adventures, elegant animals in fine clothes and we try to breath new life into old, discarded and preloved objects…. adding a little magic along the way!
